With such a plethora of magical films in their glorious vault we all grew up watching, it’s little wonder why Disney’s brand power is unmatchable.

There is honestly nothing a good old Disney flick — and the warm feelings of nostalgia they bring — can’t fix.

Going through a breakup? Put on a Disney film. Horrific day in the office? Put on a Disney film. Your credit card declined four times at the grocery store when all you tried to buy was toilet paper and broccoli? You guessed it.

With the recent release of the live-action The Lion King, and Foxtel’s huge selection of Disney offerings, there’s been a lot of Disney-related chatter at the water cooler over here at news.com.au, and it made us wonder, what is the best and most-loved Disney animation of all time?

We decided to task our readers to help find out.

The film that taught us beauty is on the inside.

Naturally, the list for the poll had to be drastically cut. There are simply too many Disney films to include, so we tried to limit it to just “the classics”.

And let me tell you, it was tough reaching a top 10. We all have our own Disney stories and our own sentimental reasons for being emotionally attached to one more than another.

Not trying to persuade your vote or anything, but this is obviously the winner.

The inclusion of Frozen as a “classic” may ruffle the feathers of those who deem the ’90s as Disney’s golden era, but given it's the highest-grossing Disney film — and animation film for that matter — ever and broke free from the whole “prince charming is the only person who can be your true love” pattern, it’s made it on the final list.
