New allegations surface on Woody Allen

Woody Allen has reached a settlement with Amazon Studios, which he sued earlier this year for refusing to release his movie A Rainy Day in New York following renewed molestation allegations from his daughter.

The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Allen, 83, filed a $99.25 million breach of contract lawsuit against the studio in February, claiming it pulled out of the deal without cause after daughter Dylan Farrow‘s abuse allegations resurfaced.

“Amazon has tried to excuse its action by referencing a 25-year old, baseless allegation against Mr Allen, but that allegation was already well known to Amazon (and the public) before Amazon entered into four separate deals with Mr Allen,” the suit said.

Amazon spiked the deal with the director’s production company, Gravier Productions, in 2018, blaming his comments that embattled producer Harvey Weinstein was the victim of a “witch hunt”.

Farrow has long claimed Allen molested her when she was seven years old. He has denied the claim.
