Warner Bros. reveals plot for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them sequel

THE wizarding world is descending into chaos as Grindelwald gathers Dark supporters to his evil army. That’s right: the Fantastic Beasts sequel is underway.

Warner Bros. has revealed the plot for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them 2.

THE last time we checked in on the world of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Gellert Grindelwald had landed himself behind bars after wreaking evil havoc while in disguise as Percival Graves (Colin Farrell).

To coincide with production on the sequel getting underway, Warner Bros. has just revealed the plot for the still-untitled Harry Potter spin-off, which we now know will see the return of our favourite characters — along with some brand new ones.

The story moves from 1920s-era New York to London and Paris and will follow the journey of a young Dumbledore (Jude Law), who seeks the help of his former student Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to thwart Grindelwald after he escapes from prison and starts recruiting Dark wizards to his army.

Newt and Tina will have to battle some more baddies.

Obviously, Newt realises he’ll need his new wizard pals from the first Fantastic Beasts movie — Tina (Katherine Waterston), her sister Queenie and Muggle baker Jacob (Dan Fogler).

We also know Ezra Miller will make a reappearance (“in a mysterious way”), along with Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange, although there’s been no clues as yet about her links to — one of — Harry Potter’s enemies, Bellatrix Lestrange.

Brooding teen Credence makes a ‘mysterious’ return.

J.K. Rowling has written the screenplay for the movie, which is the second in a five-picture series, and David Yates returns as director.

Warner Bros. has set a release date of November 16, 2018 for the sequel.
