After months of waiting and speculation, a dropout and a new recruit, Fifty Shades of Grey’s leading man has been revealed.

Jamie Dornan, the 32-year-old Northern Irishman who accepted the part after Charlie Hunnam pulled out, looks every inch the sexy billionaire in newly released pic.

The image shows Dornan dressed in a leather jacket sitting behind the wheel of an Audi R8.

It’s the first time fans have seen his face, with the previously released poster for the book showing him with his back to the camera.

The first teaser poster only showed Dornan from the back.

While most fans are excited to catch the first glimpse, others have voiced their disappointment on the film’s official Facebook page.

“Very much disappointed at the choice of actor to play Christian Grey ... This is so so not him!!! Super bad choice” wrote one fan.

While another added: “He just isn't sexy enough to pull this off!’

Dornan stars opposite Dakota Johnson, who is playing his leading lady Anastasia Steele.

The film will be released on Valentine’s Day next year.
