The Fifty Shades of Grey scene deemed too full-on for the movie

IT’S the most talked about scene from the Fifty Shades of Grey book but don’t expect to see it in the movie when it finally hits cinemas.

THE most talked-about scene from the book version of Fifty Shades Of Grey will not be included in the movie.

Yes, that tampon scene — the one where Christian removes Ana’s tampon before having sex — will not be seen on the big screen, according to the film’s director, Sam Taylor-Johnson.

“It didn’t make it into the movie,” she told Variety.

“It was never even discussed.”

The film stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan.

The movie will, of course, include some of the novel’s notorious sex scenes, including the couple’s first night in the Red Room of Pain.

Taylor-Johnson worked with screenwriter Kelly Marcel to make the raunchier scenes work visually. “On the early draft, there was a sense that there was way too much sex,” she said in the interview.

“The story, of course, is of equal importance. We tried to balance the narrative correctly, so one doesn’t feel like it’s drowning the other. It’s the build-up that’s interesting. I feel that in movies, the minute there’s penetration, it’s all over.”

Last week, Fifty Shades of Grey became the fastest-selling R-rated movie (similar to MA in Australia), and something tells us tampon yanking may have made that rating impossible.

Fifty Shades Of Grey opens in theatres February 12.
