Tara Reid’s bizarre interview on Today Extra
THE American Pie star appeared to be a little worse for wear during an appearance on Channel 9’s Today Extra this morning.
TARA Reid slurred her words and barely opened her eyes during a bizarre interview on Today Extra.
The actor, 42, appeared on the Channel 9 morning show to promote the soon-to-be-released sixth and final Sharknado movie.
But the American Pie star appeared to be a little worse for wear as she raved about the upcoming movie.
“This one, you guys, honestly is beyond … it’s my favourite one,” she told co-hosts David Campbell and Deborah Knight.
“It’s so ridiculous. It’s so bad that it’s good,” she said about Sharknado 6 (a line that also perfectly describes her Today Extra interview).
As the interview went on, Reid struggled with her ear piece which kept falling out and was also tripped up by the satellite delay between Sydney and New York.
Twice she started and stopped telling a story about her time in Australia before finally overcoming the delay to get it out.
“One time when I was visiting in Australia I took a helicopter over, we were landing in a hotel, and as we took the helicopter over we went, like, really low down and I saw the netting,” she said.
“And where the netting was, it was unbelievable, there was so many stingrays and sharks. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. And then you see like, little kids playing on the beach, I’m like, ‘oh my god, do they have any idea what’s on the other side of those nets?’
“I’ve never seen anything like that in my life. It was the Gold Coast.”
Campbell and Knight also asked Reid about rumours of another American Pie movie and the star sounded hopeful.
“There’s a lot of talk about it,” she said.
“I was at one of the Emmy parties and I ran into the directors and the writers of American Pie and I was like, ‘come on guys, when are making the next American Pie?’ And they both looked at me and they’re like, ‘soon Tara, it’s gonna happen’.”
