THEY’RE two of the most in-demand faces in Hollywood (and fashion).

So how did Margot Robbie and Cara Delevingne, who both star in the hotly-anticipated action movie Suicide Squad, get to know each other? Turns out, the answer is tequila.

“We met at an event at Windsor Castle, but only really briefly,” Robbie said, in an interview with Delevingne for Love magazine.

“I know this sounds like I just rub shoulders with royals all the time, but Prince William was at the event.

“It was that kind of thing, a super-fancy event.

“I remember muttering to my friend ... when this waitress asked, ‘Would you like water? Would you like champagne?’”

“I said, ‘God, I want a tequila’. Cara, who I’d never met before, was about five metres away from me and her ears just pricked up and she said, ‘Did someone say tequila?,’” Robbie, 26, said, according to the Daily Mail.

“I was like, ‘You and I are so going to be best friends.”’

The duo appear in an 80s-inspired shoot for Love, where they re-enact the video clip to Sign Of The Times by The Belle Stars and both interviewed each other for the publication.

Robbie who plays Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, gushed about her British supermodel co-star, 23, who plays Enchantress.

“I genuinely love her. I do,” Robbie said. “I’ve done very intense projects with people that I haven’t stayed in contact with, so I know it from both sides.”

She also opened up to Love about the intense shooting schedule of her first acting role, on Australian soap, Neighbours.

“I would sit in the make-up chair in the morning with 60 pages on my lap and I would have to sometimes learn those 60 pages in half an hour,” Robbie said.

“That’s what I did every morning, for three years straight.

“It became like a new muscle once I got into it.

“Now, when I go on set I’m like, ‘Oh, I only have to learn 12 lines today? How amazing.’”

Suicide Squad is out nationally on August 4.
