Sia replaced Shia LaBeouf with Kate Hudson in new movie Music
Aussie singer Sia has revealed she replaced Shia LaBeouf with Kate Hudson in her forthcoming movie, Music.
Days after Sia claimed Shia LaBeouf “conned” her into an “adulterous” relationship, the Chandelier singer revealed she replaced him with Kate Hudson in her forthcoming movie, Music.
“I was going to do a narrative film, and in fact, Shia LaBeouf was cast to play Kate’s character,” Sia, 44, told Studio 10. “I asked for a meeting with her, and she said she was born to do it. She could sing, she could dance, she could do it all.”
A rep for LaBeouf didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Sia came forward with her claims against LaBeouf, 34, after his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs sued him over their allegedly abusive relationship.
Calling LaBeouf a “pathological liar,” Sia, the Unstoppable songstress, claimed the Honey Boy star said he was single at the time of their relationship and said she now believes “he’s very sick”.
LaBeouf married Mia Goth in 2016. They later split but recently appear to have reconciled.
Music tells the story of an autistic girl (played by Maddie Ziegler) who moves in with her drug-dealing half-sister after her grandmother dies. It also stars Leslie Odom Jr.
Sia’s new film has been slammed for casting Ziegler as an autistic child despite the fact she isn’t autistic in real life.
The Cheap Thrills performer defended herself by saying she hired various people with disabilities and LGBTQ community members, but it wasn’t enough to satiate the critics. Eventually, Sia snapped at an autistic actress who said she was available for the role.
“Maybe you’re just a bad actor,” Sia responded.
