Seth Rogen’s salary for ‘The Interview’ revealed

SETH Rogen stars with James Franco in the new movie, The Interview. So how much did the boys get paid for the film? A lot.

SONY Pictures was the target of a recent cyberattack that resulted in the leak of sensitive documents that revealed how much Hollywood’s directors and actors are actually paid.

The Interview, in which Seth Rogen and James Franco play characters who attempt to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, cost $44 million ($52.4 million AUD) to make, reports Bloomberg.

Rogen, 32, who also served as co-director and one of the writers and producers of the comedy, earned $8.4 million ($10 million AUD).

His co-star Franco, 36, earned $6.5 million ($7.7 million AUD).

Britney Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline, picked up a $5,000 ($5,900 AUD) check for his cameo in the flick.

The film also called for a “table of weed, coke, pills and panties” and budgeted $250 for the props. The final tally on those items came to $241.

The sensitive financial information, including salaries of top executives as well as Social Security numbers of more than 3,800 employees, was stolen on Nov. 25.

Lighten up Seth, you’re earning millions.

Several films, including Brad Pitt’sFury and Jamie Foxx’s Annie, were leaked online as a result.

Sony executive Michael Lynton and co-chair Amy Pascal issued a memo calling it “a brazen attack on our company” and stated that “we are working closely with law enforcement,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The site also says there’s speculation that North Korea may be involved with the hack. The country has slammed The Interview, calling it “an act of war.”
