SDCC Suicide Squad trailer: First look at Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn

WHAT’S a nice girl like Margot Robbie doing hanging around with a homicidal maniac like The Joker? All was revealed in the new Suicide Squad trailer.

IT WAS the film that had everyone talking at San Diego Comic-Con, and now the first official trailer for Suicide Squad has arrived.

Two days after grainy footage was leaked online, Warner Bros has bitten the bullet and is letting the whole world have its first look at the anti-hero flick — and it all appears promising.

The dark three-minute trailer focuses heavily on Queenslander Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.

The villainous characters are recruited in the film to help the government with high-risk operations.

Australian actor Jai Courtney can also be spotted as Captain Boomerang, while Viola Davis stars as government agent Amanda Waller.

But the best was certainly saved until last, with fans able to catch an eerie glimpse of Jared Leto as The Joker in the dying seconds.

“I’m not going to kill you,” a smiling Leto says.

“I’m just going to hurt you. Really, really bad.”

Suicide Squad is due for release in August next year.
