MARGOT Robbie’s Jane has landed one hunky Tarzan as Alexander Skarsgard strips off to reveal his ripped body in the first glimpse of their new film.

USA Today reports that the next incarnation of the iconic Edgar Rice Burroughs character will see Tarzan a decade removed from his home in the Congo and now a British gentleman in 1880s Victorian London, with his beloved wife Jane (Robbie).

He gets invited back to the Congo as an emissary of Parliament. In doing so he puts old friends, as well as his beloved Jane, in danger.

Skarsgard says it took him four months of hardcore training to get in the right shape.

“I basically didn’t see my family or my friends,” he says, though he adds that the part “was definitely worth getting up at 4:30 in the morning.”

Director David Yates, who was at the helm for the last four Harry Potter movies, says the 6-foot-4 actor (193 cms) was the perfect choice to play Tarzan.

“Tarzan needs muscles, but it’s more a leaner, longer, more vertical modern man than the square-jawed stereotype we’re used to,” he said.

Moviegoers will have to wait until mid-2016 to see Skarsgard and Robbie in action.
