Pam, who turned 49 in July, plays an ageing lingerie model, alongside Dree Hemingway and Francois Arnaud.

Pam, who has featured on the cover of Playboy 14 times, said she felt the X-rated material is causing marriages and relationships to “implode”.

Her comments came in an opinion piece in The Wall Street Journal after ex-US congressman Anthony Weiner was caught for a third time texting nude snaps of himself to women.

She wrote: “This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness.

“How many families will suffer? How many marriages will implode? How many talented men will scrap their most important relationships?”
