Lawrence Leung’s comedy film Sucker released in December 14 years after comedy skit

FOURTEEN years ago comedian Lawrence Leung played his show to rapturous applause at the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Now Sucker is a film.

FOURTEEN years ago comedian Lawrence Leung played a skit to rapturous applause at the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

Now Sucker, which draws on his adolescence, is a film starring English actor Timothy Spall, Melbourne actor Jacinta Stapleton, Queensland actor Lily Sullivan and Leung himself.

Sucker is screening in Victoria, NSW, West Australia and South Australia with special question and answer sessions with Leung and John Luc, who plays Lawrence in the movie.
