Jason Lee, Shannen Doherty return for Kevin Smith’s Mallrats 2

IT’S the sequel you didn’t know you wanted — and it turns out the original cast members of Mallrats are slowly signing on for the follow-up.

Kevin Smith — who wrote, directed and starred in the original — has tweeted a confirmation that Jason Lee, Shannen Doherty and Ethan Suplee will reprise their roles in the upcoming flick.

Stan Lee, Michael Rooker and Jason Mewes have all confirmed their return to the classic — about two best friends who are both dumped by their girlfriends and seeking refuge in the local mall.

But no word yet on whether Ben Affleck will be reuniting with the cast.
