The Sound and the Fury - Trailer

THE first trailer for James Franco’s latest work, The Sound and the Fury, gives viewers a glimpse of the actor as they’ve never seen him before.

Franco’s upcoming adaptation of William Faulkner’s classic novel, first published in 1929, chronicles the decline of the once-proud Compson family living in the deep south during the early part of the 20th century.

The 37-year-old actor and director plays Benjy, the disabled Compson son, and he dons prosthetic teeth for the challenging role.

Franco’s usually comedic pals Seth Rogen and Danny McBride also feature in the film, along with Scott Haze, Tim Blake Nelson, Loretta Devine, Joey King, and Ahna O’Reilly.

This is the second time the Spring Breakers star has directed a Faulkner classic, taking on As I Lay Dying in 2013.

The Sound and the Fury had a small theatrical release last week and is getting mixed reviews.
