HOW’S this for a plot?
James Franco and Seth Rogen are making a movie about the making of one of the worst movies ever made.
Yes, you read that right. And no, it’s not about their last film, The Interview, which led to the devastating Sony hack.
The pair are in negotiations to make The Disaster Artist, in which Franco will direct a behind the scenes look at the making of 2003 drama The Room, widely considered one of the worst movies of all time.
Franco will also star in the movie as Johnny, the director and star of The Room and his brother Dave Franco will play Mark.
The Room centred on the melodramatic love triangle between a successful banker, and his fiance who tempts and manipulates his best friend.
It scored just 3.5 out of 10 on IMDb, but despite being labelled as one of the worst films ever made, it developed a cult following as fans found humour in its bizarre storytelling and narrative flaws.
The Disaster Artist was a follow up book written by Tom Bissell in 2013 about shooting the movie.
Seth Rogen will also reportedly produce and star in the movie too.
