Hugh Jackman’s mullet will make its film debut in the sci-fi blockbuster Chappie
THE trailer for Hugh Jackman’s upcoming film has been released, but all anyone can talk about is the spectacular mullet the Aussie hunk is sporting.
AUSTRALIAN hunk Hugh Jackman has overshadowed his castmates and the plot of his upcoming science fiction blockbuster Chappie.
Or rather, the glorious mullet he’s sporting did.
The first look at the Neill Blomkamp film hit the web today but all anyone can talk about is Jackman’s hair — which is all business at the front, party at the back.
Chappie tells the tale of “a machine that can think and feel” created by a young scientist, played by Dev Patel.

While the machine has enormous potential, it must learn much of its habits and intelligence, just like a child.
But the world is untrusting of a Chappie and he’s subjected to extreme vilification.
Jackman’s mullet-sporting character Vincent is one of the people determined to contain and destroy Chappie.

The film’s writer and director Blomkamp is the mind behind similarly captivating sci-fi titles such as District 9 and Elysium, which take the futuristic theme and add a heavy dose of social awareness.

Jackman debuted the mullet earlier this year by posting a photo to Instagram while on location in South Africa.
Although it’s not the first time the X-Men star has sported the outdated ‘do for a role.
It was during his breakout television stint in 1995, playing Kevin in the series Correlli, that the now 46-year-old first rocked a mullet.
The confronting style didn’t scare off his wife Deborra-Lee Furness — the pair met while working together on Correlli and married the following year.
Chappie is due for release in Australia in March next year.
