JAMIE Dornan fears deranged fans want to knock him off.

The Fifty Shades of Grey actor is well aware that fans of the beloved mummy porn-turned-highly anticipated film will either adore the movie or hate him forever.

“I almost don’t want to put this out there into the ether, but I fear I’ll get murdered, like John Lennon, by one of those mad fans at the premiere,” the 32-year-old former Calvin Klein and Armani model said in Details’ February issue.

“Because a lot of people are very angry that I’m playing this character. And I’m a father now, and a husband,” said Dornan, who replaced Charlie Hunnam as the sex-obsessed billionaire Christian Grey at the last minute due to scheduling conflicts. “I don’t want to die yet.”

Dornan knows reception of the film could go either way. If it proves to be a success, he will star in two sequels.

He admits that after news of his casting surfaced, he “didn’t go anywhere near a computer.” Despite his efforts to steer clear of criticism, reaction got back to him: “I think my publicist said, ‘Yeah, mostly good.’”

Dornan says he’s “very aware of the opinion regarding the film, whether it be positive or negative. It is, by nature, an easy target.”

Perhaps understanding how out of touch his comments may sound, Dornan laughs them off: “And when I do get murdered, people will say, ‘God, isn’t it haunting how he did that interview in Details magazine and predicted his own death on the red carpet?’”
