Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson on being scared of fame
SHE’S about to become very, very famous for her role in the movie version of Fifty Shades of Grey. So why is Dakota Johnson terrified?
SHE’S about to become very, very famous for her lead role in the movie adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.
But Dakota Johnson admits she is scared about her “dwindling anonymity”.
“I think about my dwindling anonymity,” Johnson told US Vogue.
“And that’s really scary because a very large part of me would be perfectly happy living on a ranch in Colorado and having babies and chickens and horses, which I will do anyway.”
Johnson, 25, stars as Anastasia “Ana” Steele in the big screen adaptation of EL James’s erotic bestseller Fifty Shades of Grey, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.
Speaking to Vogue, Johnson, who is the daughter of Melanie Griffiths and Don Johnson, said she wanted to play the sexy role because “I wanted to be involved because it’s so different ... and it’s an intense love story”.

And while Johnson is about to be a household name, she said she is planning a break once it’s released next month.
“I do a bit of press for Fifty, and then I’m just going to take the rest of the year off,” Johnson told American Vogue.
“I want to hang out with my friends. I want to hang out with my family — well, I sometimes want to hang out with my family!”
The trailer for Fifty Shades of Grey was the first trailer ever to reach 100 million views in a week.
“It’s just the most insane thing to be a part of,” Johnson said in her revealing interview with Vogue (she features on the cover of its February edition).
“I’ve never experienced anything like this; I don’t think anyone has. It’s terrifying and it’s exciting.”
Fifty Shades of Grey is out in Australia on February 12.
