Disney unveils a full-length trailer for Spielberg’s, The BFG
ONE of the world’s most-loved books for children — Roald Dahl’s The BFG — is finally getting the silver screen treatment. Here’s a first look.
DISNEY has unveiled a full-length trailer for Steven Spielberg’s latest creation, The BFG.
The film will follow Roald Dahl’s classic novel about Sophie’s adventure with The Big Friendly Giant.
Mark Rylance, who recently starred in Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies, appears as the titular giant, with Bill Hader, Penelope Wilton and Rebecca Hall also appearing in the film.
Spielberg had previously said: “In more than 40 years of making movies, I have been on the producing end of a number of films for The Walt Disney Company, but never as a director.
“It is a special joy to be in the director’s chair as we start The BFG, alongside my long-time friends and film collaborators Kathy Kennedy, who introduced me to this project, Frank Marshall and Melissa Mathison.
“Together with them and Disney, there are many reasons why I am so excited about this joint venture.”
