Because I want this:
Kid: so you have two mommies?
my kid: yes
Kid: so like Elsa & ___
my kid: yes
Kid: that's cool!
Love is an open door. That door should be open to everyone, not just straight people. #GiveElsaAGirlfriend @Disney @DisneyPixar

Making a kids movie with a queer character won't make your kids gay it will teach them that love comes in many forms #GiveElsaAGirlfriend

A gay Disney princess would have helped me feel so much more normal when I was younger. Representation is important. #GiveElsaAGirlfriend

However, not everyone was supportive of the idea.
#DontGiveElsaAGirlfriend that kind of stuff belongs nowhere near a children's movie and would be incredibly manipulative on a child's mind.

@Disney please DO NOT Give Elsa a girlfriend. Keep Disney clean and the way that Walt Disney would have wanted it #DontGiveElsaAGirlfriend

@Disney Elsa is a good role model the way she is: independent and happy at the same time. Let's not ruin that #DontGiveElsaAGirlfriend

If Disney were to create a lesbian character for Frozen, it would not be the first time a Disney character has been gay.
A recent episode of Once Upton a Time on US TV network ABC featured a kiss between Ruby and the Wizard of Oz’s Dorothy.
Disney announced in March there would be a sequel to their hit animated film Frozen but the studio has yet to announce a release date.
