Deadpool 2 takes aim at Superman and Logan in new teaser trailer

THERE was always going to be high hopes for the Ryan Reynolds-led superhero sequel and thankfully Deadpool 2 seems to measure up.

THERE’S been a huge amount of pressure on the Deadpool sequel to be as funny as the first and thankfully, it seems to be measuring up.

The trailer starts as most superhero movies do — with an altercation.

As Deadpool witnesses a robber holding an old man at gunpoint, the world’s most popular antihero declares, “not on my watch, motherf**ker”.

But, instead of rushing to the old man’s aid, he runs across the road to a phone booth to change into his costume, as the Superman theme song plays in the background.

He proceeds to spend more than a minute in the booth attempting to change into his obviously difficult latex outfit.

Reynolds spends the majority of the video attempting to change in this phone booth.

Meanwhile, the old man can be heard in the background begging for help before he’s shot with a gun.

Stan Lee of course makes a cameo before Deadpool sprints across the road to help the man, who’s already dead.

“Oh Jesus, oh that’s not good.”

“I’m so sorry, I spent way too long in the phone booth. If I’m being perfectly honest with myself I probably just should’ve called 911.”

Rushing across the road to the already dead man.

Lying on the poor old man, Deadpool contemplates the ‘real point’.

“The f**k is a phone booth doing on a street corner, didn’t those disappear in 98’?”

“I dunno how the other guys do it so quickly, you probably wouldn’t be dead if it was Logan.”

Deadpool then proceeds to viciously, and hilariously, tease Jackman’s Australian accent and Wolverine outfit.

“What’s he gotta change into, the guy wears a f**king tank top and a pair of jeans.”

“Maybe it’s Happy Hug a Koala Day,” he says.
