David Hasselhoff to star in Sharknado 3

BAYWATCH star David Hasselhoff is set to trade his iconic red budgies for a chainsaw in an upcoming film.

DAVID Hasselhoff is set to trade his red budgies for a chainsaw in upcoming Sharknado 3.

The Hoff will play Gilbert Sheperd, the father of Fin (played by Ian Ziering) in the third instalment of Syfy’s highly successful B-movie franchise.

The 62-year-old Baywatch star joins Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, Bo Derek, Ryan Newman and Jack Griffo.

Additional cameo roles include Mark Cuban, Ann Coulter, Jerry Springer, *NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick and Chris Jericho.

Here’s the plot: “When a mass of sharknadoes threatens Florida, chainsaw-wielding hero Fin must again risk his life to save his children on spring break. But as he fights his way south, the sharknadoes merge and grow bigger than ever before.”

Sounds like a job for Mitch Buchannon, right?

Sharknado 3, directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, will premiere on Syfy in July.
