DANIEL Radcliffe has been mocked for his new role as a farting corpse - which involved his character maintaining an erection for the entire movie.
The bizarre scenes led large section of the audience to walk out of the Swiss Army Man at the Sundance Film Festival.
The comedy starts with the Harry Potter star washing up on a beach and a crazed castaway, played by Paul Dano, tries to hang himself.
When Dano inspects the body, it broke wind and twitches.
Dano befriends the corpse and discusses subjects such as masturbation and the meaning of life.
They even share a kiss and Radcliffe’s character maintains an erection during the movie.
The comedy is directed by music video duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert was screened for the first time in front of a packed Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In a Q&A with the audience, Radcliffe said: “The chance to play a dead guy in this context was too much fun to pass up.”
Scheinert said the directors were inspired to make the film by “a fart joke”.
Counted at least 30 walkouts within first 30 mins of the unwatchable SWISS ARMY MAN before I bailed myself at 40-minute mark. DO NOT SEE IT.

I've never seen anything like SWISS ARMY MAN. Example: Paul Dano riding a dead, farting Daniel Radcliffe like a motor boat. #Sundance

If Gondry directed a castaway version of Weekend at Bernie's it might come close to the strangely confounding SWISS ARMY MAN.
