Tina Fey and Amy Poehler set to reunite for new film

IT’S been six years since the hilarious pair teamed up on the big screen. Their upcoming film sounds like it’s going to be a winner.

GREAT news for fans of comedy’s favourite female duo: Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are teaming up again.

It’s been six years since the duo’s last big screen outing, in the hilarious motherhood comedy Baby Mama. In The Nest, the pair will star as two 30-something sisters who find out their parents have put their family home up for sale.

The sisters then head to the old family home one last time for a final wild weekend, reminiscing, bickering and bonding.

Essentially, we should imagine Tina Fey and Amy Poehler locked in a house getting drunk for 48 hours. Sounds like comedy gold to us.

The film is the debut screenplay from Saturday Night Live writer (and hilarious tweeter) Paula Pell, and will be produced by Fey alongside Jay Roach. Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore has signed on to be at the helm.

While it’s been a few years since we’ve seen Fey and Poehler act together on the big screen, in recent times their stock as a duo has risen, thanks to their flawless run as Golden Globes co-hosts. They’re set to co-host the award ceremony again in 2015.

While we wait for The Nest (no release date yet), here’s a little taste of Fey and Poehler’s hilarity:
