RESERVOIR Dogs actor Tim Roth is set to depict life in the corridors of football power by playing FIFA boss Sepp Blatter.

After meeting Roth to discuss the film about the history of world football's governing body FIFA, set to be released in time for the 2014 World Cup, the Swiss chief of the global game said he felt a connection with the British actor.

"I have to say that it was a very interesting get-together," Blatter said in a video posted on fifa.com.

"I was very eager to meet him, and I've just realised that we really have something in common," he added.

"Okay, the age is different," said Blatter, who at 77 is 25 years older than Roth.

"But the casting was well done, and I've also seen that the actor himself, Tim Roth, he was quite surprised to meet me and speak with me. We have some common, let's say, qualities. As I would say: chemistry."
