Prince Harry and William reportedly ‘film secret Star Wars scene’

PRINCES William and Harry reportedly got a little extra something special during their visit to the Star Wars film set — the chance to make a cameo.

THEY were the envy of every Star Wars fan when they visited the set of the new film — so imagine how diehards will feel about Princes William and Harry’s cameos as Stormtroopers!

The young royals were snapped at Pinewood last week visiting the set and meeting the cast and crew of the sequel to December’s The Force Awakens.

And, according to the Mail On Sunday, the princes got a little extra something special during their visit — the chance to make a Stormtrooper cameo.

A source said: “The line given was that they were going to have lunch and a private tour of the rest of the set. What really happened is that the director came over and told them it was time to ‘get suited’ and off they went to the wardrobe department.”

“The Princes dressed up in full Stormtrooper gear and filmed a scene in which Rey and Finn infiltrate a secret base. The rebel characters are in a lift with Benicia del Toro’s character when a group of Stormtroopers enter — two of whom are William and Harry.”

Eagle-eyed fans will be keeping their eyes peeled to spot the princes when the film — which is yet untitled — opens on December 15 2017, just as they did with Daniel Craig.

Craig appeared as a Stormtrooper in The Force Awakens during a scene with Daisy Ridley’s Rey, but having initially denied he was in the film, he has since been listed in the credits as Stormtrooper JB-007 in a nod to James Bond.

During William and Harry’s visit, they met Ridley — who showed them around the set — her co-stars John Boyega, who stars as Finn, and Mark Hamill, who needs no introduction as Luke Skywalker, and Benicio Del Toro, who is believed to be playing new villain Lord Vikram.

They also got the chance to play with some lightsabers with Harry joking, ‘Why do I always have to be the baddie?’

And Ridley joked: “The minute you see someone with a lightsaber, you just think, ‘You’re one of us’.”
