Brittany Murphy’s father ‘disgusted’ with ‘trashy’ Lifetime biopic
BRITTANY Murphy’s father has taken aim at Lifetime’s biopic of the late star, calling the project “trashy” and saying it “defiles the memory” of his daughter.
LIFETIME’S biopic about Brittany Murphy is already in hot water and it hasn’t even aired.
Murphy’s father, Angelo Bertolotti, slammed the project in a recent interview.
“I am disgusted and outraged that Lifetime decided to produce such a trashy project, defiling the memory of my beautiful, talented daughter,” he told Examiner.com.
“The Brittany Murphy Story is an affront to everything my daughter was in real life. It’s hideous, unauthorized and completely untrue.”
He went on to call the network’s casting “atrocious,” claiming, “Amanda Fuller, the girl playing Brittany, looks nothing like her.”
Bertolotti has also taken to Twitter to slam the biopic about his late daughter, retweeting fans who agree with him and articles that call out the film.
#BrittanyMurphy "biopic" refers to my daughter as a chunky monkey. This clip shows it. https://t.co/sAOsBBOU7o
