THERE’S still four months until Thor: Ragnarok hits cinemas and if you weren’t excited before, you will be once you this. It’s insanely good.

Film Trailer - Thor: Ragnarok

THOR fans around the world have been waiting for another glimpse of Chris Hemsworth as the God of Lightning before the November premiere of Thor: Ragnarok.

So, behold, the Marvel bosses have debuted a new trailer at the Mecca for pop culture fans: San Diego Comic Con.

The almost-three minutes long video is insanely awesome, packed with action, style and funnies — exactly the Thor movie you’d expect from New Zealand director Taika Waititi.

Thor and his brother Loki seem to be on the same side.

It also gives a much better idea of the war waged by Cate Blanchett’s fierce Hela, the Goddess of Death as she ransacks Asgard and aims to bring about Ragnarok, which means, in the words of Thor, “The end of everything”.

We also see, for the first time, the Bruce Banner side of Hulk as Thor tries to explain to Bruce how the two of them found themselves on the world of the Grandmaster (which Jeff Goldblum confirmed on the Comic Con panel is the brother of Benicio Del Toro’s The Collector seen in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies).

There’s a funny exchange between the two of them as Thor tries to convince Banner that he bested him in the gladiatorial ring — spoiler alert: he didn’t.

Later on, Thor and Hulk have a pow-wow about how much they both like fire. Oh, and Hulk talks about himself in the third person, so that’s kind of a fun character quirk.

The trailer also shows Thor assembling his team of heroes to take down Hela, consisting of Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and, uh, Loki? The brothers are reunited, though one suspects somewhat begrudgingly.

If you’re getting excited about Thor: Ragnarok, there’s only four months to wait and this trailer is going to be the lifeblood that sustains you until then. Because there is SO MUCH in it.

Thank god someone had the smarts to hire Waititi to direct this instalment. Can’t wait.
