The Man From U.N.C.L.E trailer looks pretty great
GUY Ritchie has taken on an adaptation of a 1960s spy show. News.com.au has the exclusive trailer and you can watch it here.
THE trailer for Guy Ritchie’s adaptation of the 1960s TV series The Man From U.N.C.L.E has been released and it’s not your average cold war spy thriller.
The film is not due to hit cinemas until August 14 but is sure to appeal to a wide range of moviegoers.
In the film, Henry Cavill plays a CIA agent by the name of Napolean Solo who teams up with Armie Hammer’s Illya Kuryakin, a KGB agent. The two put aside their country’s political differences for the greater good of stopping a mysterious criminal organisation keen on causing global catastrophe.
Alicia Vikander stars as Anna Karenina, the daughter of a German scientist who holds the only hope for the spy duo to infiltrate the nefarious group while Hugh Grant shows up as the UK head of naval intelligence.
The director, responsible for Lockstock and Snatch, is known for his ability to seamlessly blend action, drama and comedy in his films — and his latest work looks set to be another testament to his abilities.
