The Lego remake of the new Star Wars trailer is amazing
HOW did diehard “Star Wars” fans spend the last day since the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer debuted? With Lego.
HOW did diehard “Star Wars” fans spend the last day since the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer debuted? They could either re-watch the trailer non-stop (duh) or perhaps create a shot-for-shot Lego remake.
The latter is exactly what YouTube user Snooperking did, who has done some Lego photography before. The fan explained in his trailer’s video description that he “had nothing to do yesterday, so [he] started once the trailer came out.”
The trailer is pretty awesome, especially considering it was made in less than 24 hours after the actual trailer’s premiere. (Snooperking says he uploaded the video at 4:00am on Saturday.) It also features a hand-built Falcon, X-Wing and speeder bike.

17-year-old Tristan Kilmer also spent 42 hours working on his Lego version of the trailer, telling news.com.au he was up from Friday morning to Saturday night to get it online.
“I did not take a single break from working on the trailer,” he said. “I went to work right away after watching it. No time for sleeping and eating. I was up for around 42 hours between Friday morning to Saturday night.
“When Saturday night came, I gladly welcomed the comfort of my mattress.”
Kilmer, from Hollywood, California, did all the work himself, combining his two loves of Lego and Star Wars.
“Star Wars has had a big impact on me ever since I first watched it at the age of 3 on laserdisc. Eversince then I have fallen in love with the universe and it’s rich variety of characters.
“LEGO has also been a big impact on me since I was young. My main obsession with LEGO as a kid was the Bionicle theme over time most toys would be given away but I always kept LEGO as it meant something emotional to me and still it to this day.”
