Maze Runner actor Dylan O’Brien finally spotted after horrific accident
ACTOR Dylan O’Brien hasn’t been seen since a horrific on-set car accident. He’s finally surfaced - and he’s barely recognisable.
MAZE Runner actor Dylan O’Brien was injured in an horrific on-set accident back in March while filming the latest instalment in the sci-fi series — and since then, his condition has been shrouded in mystery.
The 24-year-old star was hit by a car filming a stunt for Maze Runner: The Death Cure. While the film’s director Wes Ball initially assured fans that “after a few weeks of rest and recovery he’ll be back up and running to finish our adventure together”, it was reported in April that O’Brien’s injuries were more substantial than first thought.
As news broke that filming had halted indefinitely and the release date of the film had been pushed back an entire year to January 2018, fears grew about the true extent of his injuries.
Now, following four-and-a-half months of public silence after his accident, the first picture of O’Brien has emerged — thanks to a chance meeting with a fan.
Twitter user Vanessa Denegri answered many fans’ prayers when she took the actor’s order in the Jamba Juice cafe in which she works — and convinced him to pose for a photo.
And fans were relieved to see that O’Brien looks fit, healthy and mobile — if a little scruffier than they were used to:
MY LIFE HAS BEEN MADE, meeting you was the best thing ever ðâ¤ï¸ð @dylanobrien pic.twitter.com/iRLGy30RxM

Denegri was happy to report to other fans on Twitter that the actor was smiling and laughing and appeared in good spirits during their encounter.
In a statement obtained by Sugarscape, WorkSafeBC stated that O’Brien was pulled to the ground by his own safety vehicle while filming the stunt back in March. The report also stated that the actor was dragged under the vehicle, suffering concussion, facial fractures and lacerations.
