Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe’s staggering net worth revealed in new account filings
It’s been over a decade since the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise finished up, and its lead star Daniel Radcliffe is still making a fortune each month.
Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe’s fortune has nearly hit the magic $AU200 million mark, 14 years after he last played the famous boy-wizard.
Radcliffe, 35, was said to have earned $AU150 million by the time he finished the last of eight Potter films in 2011.
And the investment-savvy British actor has since increased that by $AU40 million-plus.
In the 12 months to March 2024 alone — the latest accounts filed with Companies House — the actor boosted his coffers by $AU13.20 million.
Despite a string of subsequent stage and screen parts, nothing has come close to hitting the popularity of the J.K. Rowling adapted films.
“Even Daniel’s devoted fans, of which there are many, will be shocked by the fortunes he’s racked up since he left the franchise behind and started a new chapter,” an insider said.
“But it seems his wealth isn’t just based on how much he’s been paid for his acting, it’s also down to shrewd investments along the way which means he has a steady income, whatever happens.”
Accounts show Radcliffe’s firm Gilmore Jacobs Ltd, which is co-run by his parents Marcia and Alan, has investments and cash totalling $AU192.85 million — with the sum growing by $AU1 million per month.
After Harry Potter, Radcliffe starred in films such as The Woman in Black and Escape from Pretoria.
Last year, he won a Tony Award for his role in Broadway musical Merrily We Roll Along.
In April 2023, he became a father with US actress Erin Darke after 11 years together.
The ultra-private couple are yet to reveal a name for their first child, though it has since been revealed they welcomed a son.
It was only made public eight months into Darke’s pregnancy that the pair were expecting, when paparazzi snapped photos of them with Darke’s bump on display.
Radcliffe and Darke, who started dating in 2012, have only walked a couple of red carpets together during their decade-long relationship.
Meanwhile, the actor is set to return to the silver screen later this year in the heist flick Now You See Me 3.
