The official trailer for sexy rom-com Anyone But You starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell has been released – and it’s pretty racy.
The official trailer for sexy rom-com Anyone But You has been released – and it’s pretty racy.
Filmed in various public locations across Sydney, Australia, in March and April, the movie stars Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell as one-time lovers turned enemies Bea and Ben who are unexpectedly thrust together again while attending a destination wedding down under.
When they realise their exes are set to be at the same wedding, they hatch a plan to fake a relationship to make them jealous.
It sounds innocent enough for a rom-com plot, right? But the scenes between the Euphoria star and Powell are next-level steamy in the film.
In the new trailer, fans get a taste of the good-looking pair’s hot and heavy sex scene in the shower in which she wears nothing but a blue G-string.
Another scene sees Powell rub Sweeney’s backside before he completely bares all with just his hands covering his modesty while out in the Aussie bush.
The jokes are flirty too, with Sweeney’s character telling Powell where to go after he asks her if she wants anything from first class, while trolling her for flying economy.
“I’m all good on creatine and on small-d**k insecurity,” she quips to Ben, who fires back, “Nothing small about me.”
Their on-screen chemistry was so hot, there were whispers they were romantically entwined in real life. At the time, the Top Gun: Maverick actor was dating model Gigi Paris. But as cheating rumours continued to make headlines, the pair called it quits.
Meanwhile, as affair rumours intensified, Sweeney and her businessman fiancé Jonathan Davino made various outings during which they looked loved-up.
The White Lotus actress has since addressed the romance rumours, telling Variety she’s remained close friends with Powell amid the drama.
“Sometimes I feel beat up by it,” she confessed to the outlet in August.“ It’s hard to sit back and watch, and not be able to stand up for yourself.”
“Glen and I don’t really care,” she added. “We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he’s such a hard worker, and I’m a hard worker.”
This week, during a new interview with Men’s Health, Powell addressed the rumours for the first time, saying the speculation was “unfair”.
“When all that stuff happened, you know, publicly, it felt disorienting and unfair,” he said. “But what I’m realising is that’s just a part of this gig now.”
Anyone But You is in cinemas on Boxing Day
