“You’ll never remember it”: Meghan Markle’s podcast made for awkward listening as she pulled her celeb guest up on an earlier encounter.

Meghan Markle was caught in an awkward exchange with a guest on her podcast who forgot he met her – twice.

The Duchess of Sussex told Real Housewives’ producer Andy Cohen that she was “starstruck” when she met him – but he had no recollection of the encounter, The Sun reports.

The embarrassing moment occurred on the latest episode of Meghan’s Archetypes podcast, titled “Man-ifesting A Cultural Shift”.

When introducing Cohen, she said she had met the executive producer several times while working on Suits.

Yet he said “nice to meet you” at the beginning of the interview.

She said: “I met you before. You’ll never remember it.

“I met you twice. The first [time] Suits wasn’t even on, yet. And then when we had maybe season two or three, we were in New York.”

Meghan then went on to reveal that she had wanted to be on Cohen’s late-night TV show, Watch What Happens Live.

She said: “I was so eager to be on your show because I was such a Housewives fan at the time and I just couldn’t get booked, Andy.”

He then said: “I had that feeling when basically, we started to kind of forensically, figure out if it was you because we had a sense, we kind of put it together a little.

“We were like, ‘I think she may be a Housewives fan but even worse.’

“I was like, ‘Oh my God, if it turns out that Meghan Markle, actually expressed an interest to be on Watch What Happens Live?’

“It is now the biggest blunder in the 13 years of the show.”

She then went on to admit she was a fan, but said she would never do reality TV.

She joked: “Is this my audition for ‘Real Housewives in Montecito?’”

Cohen replied: “You don’t have to audition, we will build a show around you.”

However, the Duchess quickly said back: “No, there will be no reality shows.”

It comes as Meghan and Harry’s bombshell Netflix docuseries is set to air within days.

The couple are understood to have wanted to push the controversial TV series – set to tell their “love story” – back to 2023 amid backlash over the new series of The Crown.

But is it now reported the highly anticipated show will not be postponed and will hit screens on December 8.
