Lorde tweets hilariously awkward experience with Uber driver

JUST because you’ve won two Grammy Awards and you’re part of Tay Tay’s squad, doesn’t mean everyone knows who you are. Lorde learnt the hard way.

IF you haven’t heard of Lorde, you’ve probably heard the Kiwi pop star’s chart-topping, catchy tune Royals at one point in your life.

The eccentric 19-year-old has two Grammy Awards under her belt, is part of T-Swizzle’s squad and has been nominated for a Golden Globe. So, yes, she is quite a big deal.

Lorde and Tay Tay are besties!

But not everyone recognises the teen icon, as Lorde herself recently revealed in a hilarious string of tweets.

While taking a ride in an Uber (OMG, she uses Uber too), the driver had no clue who Lorde was and in fact boasted about driving a “celebrity passenger” before her.

Ouch.

But Lorde, being the hilarious, modest and cool woman she is, didn’t seem to take it to heart.
