James Packer’s ex Erica Packer rumoured to be dating actor Kick Gurry
COULD this be the reason behind the very public Packer punch-up? Take a look at who James’s ex Erica Packer is rumoured to be dating.
AS pictures emerged of former best mates media mogul James Packer and Nine Entertainment Group CEO David Gyngell in public fisty-cuffs this morning, so did news Erica Packer has moved on with a new man.
Could this be the reason behind the Bondi Beach brawl?
The relationship between childhood best friends Packer and Gyngell is said to have soured after Packer and his second wife Erica announced their separation six months ago.
Sources say Gyngell confronted his former best man regarding his decision to leave his seven-year marriage â getting Packer off-side.
But Woman’s Day magazine is reporting former model Erica has well and truly moved on, hooking up with 35-year-old Aussie actor Kick Gurry.

It says Erica is “smiling again thanks to a blossoming new romance with hot Melbourne-born actor Kick Gurry”: “It seems like they’ve been mates a while but things have shifted. There’s no doubt he’s keen but from what I can gather, they are both taking things slowly.”
The report goes on to say actor Gurry is “quietly s------- himself” about Erica’s ex James, who is a powerful player in Hollywood after teaming up to form RatPac Entertainment, the production company behind the Oscar-nominated movie Gravity starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock.
“James Packer is not a man you want off side if you’re an up-and-coming actor,” Woman’s Day reports.
It is not the first time Tangle star Gurry, who also played Asher Keddie’s love interest in season three of Offspring, has dated a high-profile woman.
He was linked to US actress Christina Ricci in 2008.
Meanwhile, Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr â a Gunnedah girl like Erica â quashed rumours at the weekend that she and James Packer were dating, saying the two were “just friends”.
It is a well-won adage with Packer and Gyngell issuing a statement after today’s public brawl announcing the two were “still friends”.
