Iggy Azalea says she was shocked and scared to discover she had lines in new Fast & Furious 7 role
IGGY Azalea admits she was terrified to discover her role in Furious 7 was bigger than she expected.
IGGY Azalea says she was shocked to discover she had a pivotal part in the latest Fast & Furious film and admits acting was scary.
The Aussie rapper at first thought she’d just be waving a flag like Rita Ora did in the last movie.
The Fancy hit maker was thrilled when she was asked to join Vin Diesel and Ludacris in the new action blockbuster, Furious 7, but she expected a blink-and-you’ll-miss-me role.
“I thought that I was just going to have to wave the flag and then I came and I got a car and I got some lines and then (my character is) friends with Vin (Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto),” she said.
“I’m kind of the head of this monster truck crew of people and I’m, like, the girl in charge and I have this big truck.”
Azalea admits she was way out of her comfort zone on the set of the movie, and now realises that acting isn’t easy: “I’m still scared of acting. It makes me very nervous because I don’t want to be one of those artists that exerts themselves and they don’t do a good job.
“Just for me to say two lines, it took, like, 16 hours of setting up and going over and I definitely have an appreciation for actors now.”
Furious 7 is scheduled for release on April 2 and features some of the last scenes filmed by actor Paul Walker before his death in a car crash last year.
