Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster appear to publicly confirm their romance after they’re seen holding hands
After months of rumours and speculation regarding their romance, Sutton Foster and Hugh Jackman have gone public with a sweet act.
Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have taken a big step in their blossoming romance.
The Hollywood stars were spotted in Santa Monica, California, holding hands as they enjoyed each other’s company while out for dinner.
The pair wrapped up warm from the chilly January evening and seemed to be in good spirits as they flashed big smiles at each other before heading into a restaurant.
They looked comfortable and relaxed putting on a public display of affection for the first time, despite neither star having yet to confirm their relationship.
Their dinner date comes after Jackman was spotted by fellow audience members in the crowd as Foster made her debut in a revival of Once Upon a Mattress in Los Angeles on Friday.
Jackman split with his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness back in 2023.
Although the split originally appeared amicable, rumours have since emerged regarding Jackman and Foster’s relationship during their Broadway run together.
Reports then intensified after Foster filed for “uncontested divorce” from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, in New York County Supreme Court last October.
Neither Jackman or Foster have commented on the reports.
Foster and Jackman, who co-starred in the 2022 hit revival of Music Man, spoke highly of each other and of their Broadway run, which ran from December 2021 to January 2023.
While speaking to People Magazine at the 2024 Drama Desk Awards last June, Foster shared: “He’s one of the greatest guys ever, an incredible co-star.”
During a joint appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2022, he shared, “This is a six-time Tony nominee, two-time winner. Like, I saw her do Thoroughly Modern Millie when you were like four years old. But I’ve watched everything she’s done. It’s amazing.”
“The show is so joyful, and I’m having the time of my life playing opposite this guy,” added Foster.
Furness and Jackman stunned the world when they ended their marriage in 2023 in a statement on social media.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they said at the time.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to family, saying, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
