If Harry had to name his three favorite Canadians before his trip to Las Vegas, it is unlikely that DJ Deadmau5 would have made the list.
But after spending the evening in royal company, the electro DJ is bound to give Pamela Anderson, Justin Bieber and John Candy some healthy competition.
The prince shared a few ales with Deadmau5 - pronounced "Dead Mouse" - after watching his DJ set in the Tryst club on Friday.
Harry arrived with a bunch of pals at midnight and left just before the cleaners started work at 3:00am local time.
"Harry had a top night and wanted to thank the DJ. He went into his dressing room to have a chat, plus share a few drinks," a source said.
"Harry is well into his music and was asking Deadmau5 questions about other DJs and his opinions on them. They bounced off each other really well."
Harry narrowly avoided US reality stars Paris Hilton and Holly Madison. They happened to be holed up in separate clubs either side of Harry's on the Vegas party strip.
But it would have taken something special for the stars to infiltrate Harry's VIP section. He had part of the club roped off so he and his pals could enjoy their night without being hounded by celebrities.
Harry was in Vegas on a break from his eight-week helicopter course in Gila Bend, Arizonia.
Earlier in the day, he was pictured riding a Harley-Davidson in the desert.
Last year, DJ and music producer Mark Ronson said dubstep fan Harry knows so much about music that he could have done a decent job DJing at his brother's April wedding.
