Community actor Donald Glover reveals feeling anxious, helpless on Instagram
TV actor Donald Glover has posted a series of troubled handwritten notes on his Instagram page, revealing his biggest insecurities and fears.
COMMUNITY star Donald Glover has posted a series of troubled handwritten notes on his Instagram page.
The actor, who plays college student Troy Barnes in the comedy series, shared some of his biggest fears on the photo-sharing site, penning his thoughts on hotel stationary.
The admissions were posed under the name 'Childishness', a reference to his rap alter ego, Childish Gambino.
The notes are alarming in their brutal honesty, including "I'm afraid people think I hate my race", and "I'm afraid I'm here for nothing".
Others are simply heartbreaking to read: "I feel like I'm letting everyone down. I'm afraid people hate who I really am. I'm afraid I hate who I really am."
It's rare to see a celebrity divulge their biggest insecurities to fans, particularly in such a direct way. But the raw posts are certainly food for thought in terms of the inner turmoil that many stars deal with on a daily basis, which is often neglected.
The 30-year-old rising comedy star started out writing for NBC's 30 Rock and was later cast in Community. He recently signed a deal to star, write and produce a music-themed series called Atlanta.
So far, no word of explanation from Glover or his representatives regarding the posts.
