‘Wangfest’: Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid model for Alexander Wang
KAIA Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford, has made a huge impression in the Big Apple, strutting in catwalk shows with Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.
SHE turned 16 just in time to make the age cut-off to walk in New York fashion week.
And Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber has certainly made an impression, appearing on the asphalt runway at Alexander Wangs’ runway shows alongside supermodels Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.
New York-based Wang staged two open-air catwalks in the Big Apple this weekend, with Gerber opening both wearing a white tank dress and see-through plastic heels.
Dubbed “Wangfest”, one event was held in Manhattan, at Lafayette St in NoLita, while the other was staged in Brooklyn.
Supermodels Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner also walked in the shows, which were attended by Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
Kendall and Bella sported feathered crowns with the play-on-words slogan “wangover” and “party animal” printed on them, teamed with little black dresses and stockings.
Meantime, Gerber is a rising star of the fashion scene. She walked in her first ever show at New York fashion week for Calvin Klein, before hitting the runway for Alexander Wang.
And in an industry where Instagram is a currency, Gerber has a refreshing attitude to how she uses social media.
“Everyone expects you to be on it all the time, but social media is just everyone’s best version of themselves,” Gerber said in an interview with Teen Vogue last month.
“I try and give people a truer depiction of who I am.”
