Stars hit the red carpet for Sydney premiere of Elvis
Local and international celebs have hit the red carpet for the Elvis premiere – including Ada Nicodemou, who appeared completely ageless.
Celebrities have hit the red carpet in Sydney for the premiere of the highly anticipated new film, Elvis.
The stars of the Baz Luhrmann-directed biopic – Tom Hanks, Austin Butler and Olivia DeJonge – were front and centre at the glitzy event at the State Theatre.
They were joined by local celebrities including Home And Away’s Ada Nicodemou, 45, who looked radiant as she posed outside the venue.
The actress wore a short black floral mini dress with long sleeves and an oversized collar, while her hair was out and styled in loose waves.
Luhrmann was accompanied by his 18-year-old daughter, Lilly, for the big night as his wife and creative partner, Catherine Martin, was reportedly unwell.
Married At First Sight star Jules Robinson looked sensational in a figure-hugging leather cut-out dress with a cream coat.
Christian Wilkins, the son of entertainment presenter Richard Wilkins, opted for a black slimline dress with a bold thigh-high split.
Kyly Clarke showcased her extremely chiselled abs in a black cut-out dress with an exposed midsection.
Model Gemma Ward made a glamorous arrival in a floor-length, tiered feather-and-sequins gown with sleek hair and a bold crimson lip.
Meanwhile, comedian Celeste Barber wore a statement mini-dress with elaborate puffed sleeves, neck tie and unique print.
Australian TV personality Kerri-Anne Kennerley was business chic in a black suit with silver detailing along the collar and matching silver heels.
The early reviews are already in for Australian filmmaker Luhrmann’s much-anticipated Elvis Presley biopic – and they’re quite mixed.
Luhrmann’s always been a divisive filmmaker, and it seems like his latest offering is no different – with IndieWire’s David Ehrlich going as far as to call his foray into music biopics “deliriously awful”.
However, the film did receive a 12-minute standing ovation after its Cannes Film Festival premiere earlier this month.
