SAG Awards 2019 red carpet under way as A-listers turn on glamour

Hollywood stars have arrived for the Screen Actors Guild Awards, with Emily Blunt’s outfit stealing the spotlight for one very strange reason.

Oscars 2019: The controversy plaguing Hollywood

Hollywood is turning on the glamour for another glitzy awards night, with film and television stars turning out for the 2019 SAG Awards.

The SAG nominations are one of the last major opportunities for actors to court Oscar voters and build momentum ahead of the Academy Awards on February 25.

Australian actor Margot Robbie is leading the style stakes in head-to-toe Chanel as a surprise guest at the ceremony in Los Angeles today, after skipping both the Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards.

The 28-year-old from Queensland is nominated for Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work in the widely criticised period drama Mary, Queen of Scots.

Lady Gaga, nominated for her role in A Star Is Born, is channeling Marilyn Monroe in a plunging Dior Haute Couture white gown with high leg slit.

Her hair is clipped back in a tight updo and she has accessorised her look with a gold choker and bracelets, a deep red lip and white pointed pumps.

A Quiet Place star Emily Blunt turned heads on the red carpet in a pink Michael Kors gown, which also caught the attention of those at home — but for a very different reason.

Some red carpet watchers were convinced Blunt’s dress looked like a very particular female body part.

While we aren’t completely convinced by Twitter, are some other angles of Blunt’s eye-catching look along with the rest of the SAG red carpet.
