Kendall Jenner rocks naked My Fair Lady-inspired dress at 2021 Met Gala

Kendall Jenner wasn’t afraid to flash some skin in a completely sheer gown at the Met Gala this year – while sister Kim went in the opposite direction.

The glitziest red carpet event of the year wouldn’t be complete with a naked dress or two.

This year, Kendall Jenner rocked the trend – donning a sparkling gown with a statement neck piece and capped sleeves at the dazzling star-studded gala.

Meanwhile, sister Kim Kardashian graced the event uncharacteristically covered-up in a faceless custom ensemble designed by Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of Balenciaga.

Jenner, 25, strutted her stuff solo on the Met steps, leaving boyfriend Devin Booker at home, in a what people speculated was a Givenchy gown inspired by Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady. With a modern twist, of course, given it was completely sheer.

The romantic look was praised on social media, with fans gushing over her interpretation of the theme.

The model and reality star attended the event without new flame Devin Booker, who she’s been seen with throughout New York Fashion Week.

A source told Entertainment Tonight of the fiercely private couple: “They’re not putting any sort of pressure on things for the future. They realise they’re both still young and have big futures ahead of them. Right now they’re just enjoying their time together and taking things as they come.”

Jenner spoke about why she chose to keep her relationships off screen during the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion in June.

“Kylie and I have had the opportunity to watch our older sisters go through marriages and relationships and breakups and all these things, and do them pretty publicly,” she told Andy Cohen.

“And no offence to you guys at all, but I think it was personal preference from a really young age that I didn’t want to [do that]. I think it makes my life a lot easier and our relationship a lot better, to be completely honest.

“I just feel like it’s a private matter, it’s not really for anybody else to judge or know.”

Jenner’s sister Kim went for a head-turning Met Gala look herself, with the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s full-body look including a face covering and black tee under a matching T-shirt dress paired with an incorporated bodysuit and boots.
