Chrissy Teigen turns heads in completely sheer dress after skipping Met Gala
Model Chrissy Teigen has had a racy red carpet moment in a see-through dress days after suffering neck injury.
Brace yourselves for this bold look.
Chrissy Teigen rocked a totally see-through Cult Gaia dress at the ACE Awards 2024 in New York City on Tuesday night, with her racy red carpet moment coming after the star skipped the Met Gala and sparked concern Monday by sporting a neck brace on Instagram.
The 38-year-old cookbook author went brace-free for the night, looking rather on-theme for the gala’s Garden of Time dress code in her gossamer gown embroidered with strategically placed flowers.
Teigen accessorised with Cult Gaia’s Jaala clutch and Elena platforms for the Accessories Council of Excellence’s annual ceremony, where she presented the Design Innovator Award to the brand’s founder, Jasmin Larian Hekmat.
And she poked fun at her Met Gala absence while on stage, quipping that she “wasn’t invited” to the ball but “would have worn this” — meaning her sheer Cult Gaia gown — if she had been.
Post-ceremony, the Cravings founder shared a video on Instagram Stories of herself lounging in bed alongside her stylist — and back in her brace.
On Monday, Teigen shared several photos of herself in the same supportive collar, captioning one, “@ the MET!” and another, “I tried to do a headstand.”
The model later clarified that her neck injury wasn’t the cause of her Met Gala no-show, explaining, “This is not why I’m not at the Met. I was never going to the Met this year. Please. I’m so stupid for having made this a thing. I’m sorry.”
“It’s just a CVS [pharmacy] neck band, and I just can’t rotate my neck because I tried to do a headstand and it didn’t go well at all,” the mum of four added.
“There’s no story. I promise, that’s it.”
