Bono’s actress daughter Eve Hewson frees nipple at red carpet premiere of new Netflix film Jay Kelly
Bono’s daughter has turned heads in an eye-catching ensemble that’s left little to the imagination at the premiere of her new Netflix film.
All eyes were on Bono’s actress daughter, Eve Hewson, when she walked the red carpet at the LA premiere of her new Netflix film, Jay Kelly.
The 34-year-old boldly bared all as she promoted the upcoming comedy-drama alongside its stars George Clooney, Adam Sandler and Riley Keough at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Wednesday.
Eve, who is the daughter of Bono (real name Paul Hewson) and activist Ali Hewson, turned heads as she freed the nipple at the premiere, wearing a black lace bralette that was completely see-through.
The Irish actress, who posed with her famous dad at the premiere, teamed her floral bra with a sequined skirt and ruffled chiffon cover-up, which she purposely left unbuttoned to expose her racy undergarment.
Fellow nepo baby and co-star Riley Keough – she is the daughter of the late Lisa Marie Presley – also went braless under a sheer, sequined top, but she covered up with a black blazer.
It’s arguably Eve’s boldest red carpet look to date, with the star once admitting that she disliked walking the red carpet altogether.
“I don’t enjoy red carpets. They’re scary – people shouting at you and all of that. I haven’t done one in so long, because of the pandemic,” she told The Guardian back in 2022.
“I’ve just been sitting on Zoom with a nice top on and my sweatpants, and its been quite joyful. I like fashion, but really I’m quite a lazy person. I’d rather be wearing sweatpants.”
However, in a more recently interview, Eve says that now she’s in her 30s she is more comfortable in her own skin.
“I feel so good. I feel like I’ve just started living. Don’t know what the hell was going on in my twenties,” she told Byrdie in November 2024. “It was confusing and really fun, but I definitely get why people say, ‘Oh, once you get to your forties, you’re just free.’”
“Because already, in my thirties, I don’t want to do things I don’t want to do. I hang out with the people I like and do the things that I like and don’t feel that pressure of, ‘I have to do this.’ I care less about what people think of me.”
Jay Kelly follows the story of a mega-famous movie star of the same name played by Clooney, who goes on a whirlwind European journey of self-discovery with his manager, Ron (Sandler).
Confronting his actions after a bitter fallout with a fellow actor, Jay attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughters while addressing his past and present regrets.
The film, released in select Australian cinemas on November 20 before streaming on Netflix from December 5, also stars Laura Dern, Billy Crudup and Aussie actress Isla fisher.
Dressed down in a green tracksuit, Brad Pitt and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, showed their support for good friend Clooney later that evening at the afterparty held at Hollywood hot spot Chateau Marmont.
“They looked loved up. He was in a great mood and seemed thrilled to be there to celebrate his friend,” a source told People magazine. “Brad and Ines spoke in a group with Clooney for a while and then talked to Bono for a bit.”
