Bella Hadid hits Cannes red carpet in see-through dress
The US supermodel has turned heads on the Cannes red carpet overnight – rocking a completely sheer dress.
Bella Hadid made a glamorous return to Cannes in a head-turning, see-through dress.
The US supermodel, 27, who is often a red carpet highlight at the famed film festival on the French Riviera, attended The Apprentice premiere overnight wearing a sheer Saint Laurent halter dress.
Her tan dress, which is from the French fashion designer’s latest fall collection, left very little to the imagination, featuring ruched detailing and a plunging neckline.
The former Victoria’s Secret model’s look continues the dominant sheer trend sweeping Hollywood events in recent years.
Hadid has stepped out in a string of iconic couture looks at Cannes over the years.
The last time she attended was in 2022, when she wore a stunning white Gucci gown with a cheeky hip cut-out detail.
In 2021, the younger sister of fellow model Gigi Hadid made headlines in a racy gown fit with an expertly-positioned gold bra on her chest.
Elsewhere at the 77th edition of Cannes, Australian-made film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga has proved one of the most buzzy films to screen at the festival.
Director George Miller and stars Chris Hemsworth and Anya Taylor-Joy received a seven-minute standing ovation on opening night last Wednesday, with local media reporting crowd-goers “went wild” following its premiere.
Hemsworth, who plays Dr. Dementus in the franchise’s fifth instalment, was reportedly reduced to tears by the rapturous applause in what marked his Cannes debut.
“This is my first time to the festival, and to be here with George and this cast and production... The Mad Max franchise holds a very special place in my heart, being Australian,” Hemsworth said at a press conference on Thursday.
“It was vivid and had a wonderful sort of nostalgia about my childhood, and the response at the end rang a bell of gratitude in my heart for the opportunity.
“Thanks to George for bringing me to this place, and the audience who have such a passion for these films and have kept them alive for so many years.”
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga hits cinemas on May 24.
