Ariel Winter bares her breast reduction scars on Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet

ARIEL Winter has revealed why she was more than happy to expose the scars from her breast reduction on the SAG Awards red carpet.

MODERN Family actress Ariel Winter made a brave decision to bare her surgery scars on the Screen Actors Guild Awards red carpet.

The 18-year-old actress looked stunning in a floor length Romona Keveža strapless dress that was perfectly matched by her jet black hair.

She confidently displayed her breast reduction scars as a result of surgery she underwent in June 2015.

Winter shared her view on the decision with her Twitter followers:

Guys there is a reason I didn't make an effort to cover up my scars! They are part of me and I'm not ashamed of them at all. :)

She then went on to add her thanks to fans: “Thank you all so much for the support, kind words, and happy birthdays!

Winter told Glamour magazine last year that pain was a major motivator in reducing her breasts by a couple of cup sizes from a 32F to a 34D.

“I remember being in my sister’s wedding and being so flat and thinking, ‘I just wish I would grow boobs!’ and then overnight I did. But then they kept growing and growing and growing and it didn’t seem like they were going to stop.”

“It started to hurt so bad that I couldn’t take the pain,” she said.
