SHE’S one of Hollywood’s most famous — and glamorous — actors.

Now Nicole Kidman has shown her natural side, posing without make-up for the 2017 Pirelli calender, in a shoot described as rallying against “false beauty standards”.

Uma Thurman, Julianne Moore, Robin Wright, Jessica Chastain and Helen Mirren have also ditched cosmetics for the stunning shoot themed around “natural beauty and femininity”.

Lion actor Kidman said the shoot was about empowerment.

“Female power is the courage to be yourself, to be able to walk into a room and be yourself, Kidman said, according to the Daily Mail.

She also revealed her husband, country singer Keith Urban, preferred her natural look.

“My husband totally prefers me with no make-up on and at my most natural,” Kidman said.

“We’re allowed to have that choice and it’s a very important message to give to not only little girls but little boys.

“We’re so used to airbrushing these days so you’re not used to seeing people not have a perfect image.

“There’s an enormous amount of judgment and the more we can strip that away the better.”

It comes days after singer Mariah Carey was slammed for photoshopping her social media posts.

Moore added: “I had no make-up on, messy hair and puffy eyes from just waking up” when she posed for the shoot.

Meantime, Oscar-winner Mirren joked: “I thought they’d give me a black leotard or bikini and make me (lay) ... on a leopard print rug”.

Mirren said the shoot made a powerful statement about being a modern woman.

“The reality is we live, we love, we continue, we contribute and that’s the role of women,” Mirren said, according to the Daily Mail.

“It’s incredibly challenging for young girls these days and we must remind them that life goes on for a long time and you’ll be many things in that time.”
